We are thrilled to welcome new members this fall! If you played in a band in high school, this is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with your musical self and meet new people. Do you want to start playing again?

We are a diverse group of musicians of all ages and from all walks of life who would love to have you join us! We welcome all instruments but are currently in particular need of bassoon, French horn, and oboe players, as well as percussionists.

Spring Concert – June 14th 2024

Save the date! The Codiac Concert Band’s Spring Concert is coming up on June 14th, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be joined by the dynamic vocal group Riversong! Our band, consisting of over 30 amateur and semi-professional musicians, will perform a variety of musical styles and aim to promote the educational, musical, and cultural values of concert bands. Join us for an evening of joyous melodies and vibrant harmonies!

New interim conductor of the Codiac Concert Band

🎶 Exciting News Alert! 🎶

🎺 Let’s give a warm welcome to our new interim conductor of the Codiac Concert Band, Ismael Vitriago! 🎼 We’re thrilled to have Ismael join our musical family, bringing with him a wealth of experience and passion for music. 🌟

Join us in extending a hearty welcome to him as we embark on this new musical journey towards our spring concert together. 🎵

Ismael brings over 15 years of experience as a bassoon teacher and music pedagogue. He has performed with esteemed Symphony orchestras such as the Venezuela Philharmonic Orchestra and the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, as well as bands like both the Simon Bolívar Symphony Band in Venezuela and in Canada with Tutta Musica Orchestra. Presently, he imparts his expertise at Sistema New Brunswick Moncton Centre, while also coaching the woodwinds sections of the Moncton Youth Orchestra and the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra.
